Louis drops in on X Factor stars as they storm O2

X FACTOR supremo Louis Walsh had a reunion with Janet Devlin and winners Little Mix after the stars hit the stage in Dublin.

Louis went to the O2 to catch the X Factor tour, which saw thousands of Irish fans cheer on the former contestants.

A delighted Louis surprised the crew when he popped backstage last night to meet them all.

The singers turned it up a notch as they celebrated their second night in the O2.

From quirky singer Kitty Brucknell being catapulted 50ft in the air, Misha B setting the stage on fire and Little Mix flying high in the sky on swing sets, the audience got a real taste of the X Factor.

While winning act Little Mix were the main attraction, the audience broke into screams and cheers when Tyrone native Janet (17) took to the stage. Speaking to the Herald, the redhead revealed she was delighted with the reception.

"It's really nice being on stage here in Ireland, it is really nice, plus the crowds are always great, because we like to party," she laughed.

And there was another reason Janet was happy to be on home turf.

The talented singer was picked up by her mother straight after the gig and brought home before the X Factor tour comes to Belfast tonight.

Although Janet is set to move to London with her boyfriend soon, she admitted she was already missing her home comforts. "Everyone is going to Belfast tomorrow on the tour bus but my mum is picking me up straight after the show," she said.

"I just want to sleep in my own bed, it's been so long. I've really been missing my own bed, it's a memory foam bed, I love it.

"I am planning on moving to London, but only if we can actually afford a house. It would be nice to live there but I'll always miss home."

The X Factor stars were pleasantly surprised when former mentor Louis Walsh came backstage to meet them all.

Louis chatted with his former acts Kitty Brucknell and Johnny Robinson as well as Janet, Misha B, Amelia Lily, The Risk, Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Craig Colton. The X Factor judge, who is set to return for another season this year, also watched the show from the side of the stage.

Another familiar face backstage last night was X Factor reject Melanie McCabe. The Dubliner who made it to the judges' houses last year was busy in the dressing rooms catching up with her pal Misha B.

The pair had a strong friendship throughout the competition and Melanie was eager to spend time with the other acts. "I met Misha and we ran and hugged each other straight away, I was dying to see her," she said.
