Hollywood style icon Liz Hurley will be swapping the spotlight to personally dress some lucky Irish shoppers, the Herald can reveal.
The model turned actress will be in Kildare Village next week to launch her new beachwear line -- and she will be taking time out to offer fashion tips to Irish women.
A spokesperson explained that the Austin Powers star (44) will be appearing at the discount outlet on Friday week, March 12.
"She's opening her own beach boutique here called Liz Hurley beachwear. She already had her beach range at our Bicester Village just outside London last year and this year she'll be opening it in Kildare.
"She will be here meeting customers, offering them her top tips on finding the perfect beach outfit. She'll also be on hand to do personal styling from 1.30 to 2.30."
The collection will be on sale all summer, wrapping up in September. "The line has it all -- kaftans, maxis, bikinis," the spokesperson explained.
Liz Hurley Beachwear is a favourite among Hollywood stars including Paris Hilton, Heidi Klum and Liv Tyler, who have all been pictured sporting her designs. In addition to her beach line, health nut Hurley also has an organic food line selling oat and fruit bars and beef jerky on her website. It is also being tipped that the style icon will be appearing at this year's Peter Mark VIP Style awards during her whirlwind trip here.
The mother of one is expected to join in the fashionable festivities next week where a number of the country's best-known personalities vie to be crowned the country's most fashionable.
Grainne Seoige, Amy Huberman, Colette Fitzpatrick and Anne Doyle are all hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Lorraine Keane by being named Ireland's Best Dressed Woman.
While The Clinic has been axed from RTE, two of its stars are still being praised for their style efforts. Amy Huberman has long been noted for her down-to-earth style, and has received the nod for her efforts, alongside actress and socialite Victoria Smurfit. Two notable first time nominees are Ireland AM's Anna Daly, who has been thrust into the limelight since joining the TV3 show, and Gerry Ryan's ex, Morah.
A number of former winners have continued to stay ahead of the style pack, with model agent and stylist Celia Holman Lee making the cut for the eighth year running. Serial nominee Rosanna Davison is also in with a chance to win this year.
