Leigh Arnold (32) is celebrating her engagement in Dublin this weekend after jetting back with her other half Steve Davies to show off her beautiful new ring.
As revealed in the Herald, the former RTE actress said 'I will' to her businessman boyfriend after he went down on one knee last weekend following a whirlwind romance.
She and Steve were planning on making their first appearance as an engaged couple last night at the Dublin premiere of Charlie Casanova at the IMC in Dun Laoghaire.
Leigh, who played Dr Clodagh Delaney in The Clinic, told the Herald how the couple are "delighted" to be home to share their happy news with family and friends.
She said they were "over the moon" about it. "We are both so excited and looking forward to a wonderfully happy future together," she said.
Foxrock native Leigh has been inundated with "lovely messages" of congratulations from her pals, including one from Amy Huberman, after she confirmed the news earlier this week.
The pair have been dating for more than six months and Leigh even moved to Manchester recently to move in with him after falling head-over-heels.
She and Steve were only in Dublin last weekend for the nuptials of her two friends, and clearly wedding bells were in the air.
She was back for last night's launch of the second Underground Cinema Film Festival in Prive nightclub and decided to make it a weekend stay.
After the launch bash, the couple headed out to see the first Irish showing of her latest movie, which co-stars Hollyoaks hunk Emmett Scanlan and sees her stripping off at one point for a risque bath scene.
