Laura won't be a lonely Celebrity as beau Danny to join her Down Under

IRISH presenter Laura Whitmore (27) has just jetted off to Australia to start her six-week stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here Now.

But the Bray-born beauty won't be pining too much for her long-term boyfriend Danny O'Donoghue from The Coronas while she films the hit ITV2 show -- he's due to join her down-under at the very end.

The smitten pair have been sharing their own pad in London for the past year and spend as much time together as their work schedules allow.

Laura is obviously determined not to let the new programme get in the way of her two-year romance, given that she's flying her musician beau over to see her during a gap in his band's tour.

"He's coming over at the very end for five days, which is great, because last year he wasn't able to come over at all," Laura explained.

The star jetted off from London yesterday to start the lengthy journey to Australia as she gets her teeth stuck into her second year on the show.

She took over from Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack on the creepy-crawly-filled programme, which is due to start airing shortly amid huge speculation as to which celebrities are venturing into the jungle this year.

Among the names mooted for the show hosted by Ant and Dec are former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, singer Grace Jones, alongside Brian Conley and Linda Robson as well as former England cricketer Matthew Hoggard.

Madcap twins Jedward have again turned down a big-money offer to appear, while glamour girl Georgia Salpa won't be on the reality show either.

Laura said that it was great going back to work on the show and this time not being the 'new girl' on the set.

"I can't believe it's come around to that time of year again, but I can't wait," she explained. "I've a feeling it's going to be the best year yet. Last year was my first and it was quite daunting, so it's an honour to be asked to go back and see everyone again like Ant 'n' Dec and Joe Swash."

She added that the filming schedule is quite intense, given that her alarm goes off at 10.30pm, and then she's picked up at midnight and on set by 1am.

The crew work on the show throughout the night and finish filming at 9am, so she has the rest of the day free to enjoy the Australian sunshine.
