XPOSE presenter Kirsteen O'Sullivan is expected to leave with the programme with the return of Aisling O'Loughlin.
Aisling is already back at TV3 studios in Ballymount, but was covering Sybil Mulcahy's role on The Morning Show alongside Martin King.
Mum-of-three Sybil is due back from maternity leave in two weeks, which means Aisling will return to her role on showbiz programme Xpose.
Now huge speculation hangs over 32-year-old Kirsteen's future role in the cash-strapped station amid a raft of changes in the pipeline.
She joined Karen Koster, Glenda Gilson and Lisa Cannon on the popular show in November 2011 after replacing Aisling while she went on maternity leave to have baby Patrick last December. Scottish-born Kirsteen joined the station in July 2009 as a freelance journalist on TV3 News and went on to become a presenter of the channel's Champions League coverage in February 2010.
The blonde anchor, who's married to David Donnell, had been working in the sports department prior to joining the Xpose team -- and appeared to be hitting all the right notes with viewers.
A TV3 spokeswoman declined to comment on their short-term plans for Kirsteen but an insider said she could go back to her previous role.
An inside source said: "Kirsteen fitted seamlessly into the Xpose team and has done a great job filling in for Aisling. But it was always clear that it was only ever a temporary role.
"There's only four spots on the Xpose team and that's not going to change so Kirsteen could just go back to her previous job in sports."
