Ireland's answer to David Copperfield, Keith Barry, is looking for 10 Dubliners willing to face their biggest fears.
He has teamed up with Dublin's 98fm and Aer Arann to launch a unique initiative, in which participants who are petrified of flying, sign up to be hypnotised.
He will spend two days curing the volunteers of their fear on July 8 and 9, before taking them on a flight somewhere in Ireland or Scotland on July 10 to test his hypnotic powers.
He believes such fears are unfounded and are, in fact, just a deeply-rooted mental issue.
He said: "I truly believe anyone can be cured of any fear. It is not that difficult to do. It's my job to show people how they can help themselves.
"This is something I've wanted to do for a long time because with some very clever thinking we can get rid of this terror they have, whether it's of flying, or spiders, or whatever else.
"Their fear isn't actually of flying -- it's more the thought of flying, which is embedded in their subconscious mind. This isn't going to be a temporary cure. The idea is to help them get over their fear forever."
Keith is calling on volunteers to come forward and tell The 98 Morning Crew, of Dermot, Dave and Siobhan, why they deserve to have their fear of taking to the air disappear for ever.
He said no jokers will be allowed slip through the system.
He said: "There are a lot of people who haven't travelled for between 15 and 20 years because of their fear, so we're expecting a huge response.
"Dermot, Dave and Siobhan will be vetting the applicants carefully until they come up with 15 potentials.
"And then I'll be picking out the final 10. I don't want any messers taking up a place that could have been used by someone with a genuine fear so I'll be monitoring them all very closely," he added.
Those who wish to sign up should contact Dublin's 98 with their details and be available for a number of hours on July 8 and 9, and all day on July 10.
Keith has also lined up follow-up hypnotist Joe Hoey in case any of the 10 contestants need a follow-up session while Keith is shooting his new Discovery Channel show.
Fans of Keith can check out his sell-out show at the Olympia later this summer, which will run from July 30 through to August 2.
