Keatings sell six-bed luxury home for €2.5m

RONAN Keating and his ex-wife Yvonne have sold their former love nest within three weeks of it going on the market.

It is believed it was snapped for almost €2.5m, slightly above the €2.45m asking price.

The property, in the exclusive Abington housing estate in Malahide, was put up for sale after Ronan's ex, Yvonne, decided that she and children Jack (14), Missy (12) and Ali (8) needed a fresh start.

Property listings stated that a sale was agreed on Monday, and an estate agent at Sherry Fitzgerald Blanc confirmed that viewings of the property had been put on hold.

The Keatings moved into the purpose-built home, which has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a gym, in 2010 before parting ways in 2011.

A number of celebrities, including ex-Westlife singer Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina, and Irish football star Robbie Keane and his wife Claudine, have properties on the same luxury estate.

Ronan (36) and Yvonne (40) have both moved on following the breakdown of their 14- year marriage.

The Boyzone star has been dating the TV producer Storm Uechtritz. The pair have been seen out with Ronan's children.

Yvonne, meanwhile, has been seeing the cinematographer John Conroy, who she is said to have met on the set of one of her daughter's films.

Yvonne, who has been living in the property since she and Ronan called it quits, is now looking for a new property in the Malahide area.

"The kids want to stay in Malahide and the other priority is a fresh start," she said in a recent interview.
