Keane family jets in and Claudine rushes to sick granny's side

SOCCER hero Robbie Keane and his wife Claudine are home for the holidays.

While most of us still have a couple of weeks to go before getting a break, the Ireland captain has finished his season with LA Galaxy.

And rather than hangout in their LA home, the Keane family have wasted little time in getting back to Dublin.

The couple and Robbie jnr were pictured in Dublin Airport yesterday.

But while the pair looked happy to be home, Claudine (28) took to Twitter to tell her fans and followers that her visit back to Ireland had a much more sombre tone.

"I flew back to Ireland today to spend time with my grandmother," she wrote. "She is very ill. Please pray for her. Love you nanny."

Claudine is very close to her family, and has often said that her mum Joan Palmer is more like a sister to her.

"I have a lot of friends from school days but, in essence, you can't trust anyone as much as your family. You know when you have your mum around that everything is going to be okay. It's a comfort to have someone you can trust by your side," she said.

Lingerie model Claudine and Robbie will no doubt spend quality time with their friends and family while back on Irish soil.

The pair made their way through arrivals with their three-year-old son having fun perched on top of their luggage.
