Katie picks Lara to create the perfect red carpet glamour

She has been responsible for dressing all our big-name stars for the capital's most glitzy parties and awards ceremonies.

And now Dublin boutique owner Lara Casey has been chosen by feisty glamour girl Katie Price to pick out her most head-turning outfits for 2010, after making the businesswoman her personal stylist.

The Diary can exclusively reveal how the petite blonde is now responsible for the sartorial choices of the perma-tanned celebrity.

She said that she had a "great time" attending a recent VIP event in London with the model and was looking forward to styling the star for the next year.

Given that Lara has dressed everyone from Miriam O'Callaghan to Colette Fitzpatrick, Rosanna Davison, Lisa Fitzpatrick and Sharon Ni Bheolain, she is a dab hand at finding the perfect dress for even the most discerning celebrity.

Katie is one of the most photographed women in Britain, thanks to her often outlandish outfits and outspoken comments, and it remains to be seen if style guru Lara will be able to tone down her unique look.

A close pal revealed how the store owner met Katie a few years ago and how the model has paid several visits to the Dame Lane boutique, where she has splashed out hundreds of euros on red-carpet outfits and designer jeans.

"They go back years, as every time Katie comes over to Dublin, she goes into Lara's boutique," said the friend.

"Katie's first time on the Late Late Show in 2006, she went into Lara's shop and went on a huge shopping spree as she loved the stuff.

"The fact that you couldn't get the same styles in Britain was a huge bonus for her.

"She and Lara got on a like a house on fire, as they are both real glamour girls and love dressing up.

"The last time Katie was over for an interview with Ryan Tubridy, she made sure to stop at Lara's shop and even gave her a mention in her magazine column, saying thanks a million for her help with her outfits.

"She obviously trusts Lara's judgment when it comes to clothes and wants to work with her a lot more in 2010."

And Lara's clearly not a lady who likes to rest on her laurels -- as well as recently having her second baby, she has also expanded her chain to Britain after opening a new branch in Chiswick.

To seal the deal on her new slot with Katie, she joined the model on the red carpet for the premiere of the new West End musical Legally Blonde.

Lara experienced first-hand what it was like to be chased by the British paparazzi, after being snapped alongside Katie's pal Phil Turner, as well as performers Duncan James and Sheridan Smith.

After the show, she and Katie's entourage went to the exclusive Vanilla bar and restaurant for a meal.
