FOODLOVERS will experience a taste of what's to come at this year's Taste Kildare Festival next Wednesday, July 28, when the official launch takes place at the K Club in Straffan.
A select number of guests have been invited to meet the producers, taste the food and hear more about this year's event.
Now in its third year, the festival will include a week-long celebration of local flavours, countywide tastings and free demonstrations, culminating in Taste Kildare, a day of fabulous food and family fun in the Victorian walled garden of the K Club on Sunday, August 22.
wwwTHE FASHION savvy will be gathering at the RDS tomorrow for the official launch of the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show.
Media insiders will be on hand to take in a special photo-call at 12.30pm, which will be followed by lunch at the Anglesea Road venue.
This year's show takes place from August 4 to 8.
The Temple House music and arts festival promises to offer a new and exciting alternative with a host of Irish and international acts, including The Wailers, Peter Hook and The Undertones all due to perform.
Already this year the popular Lucan twins have sold out a staggering 27 dates in April, selling more than 40,000 tickets nationwide.
Tickets for their next string of gigs will retail at €27.50 for Southern dates and £25 for Northern dates from usual outlets. They were on sale from 9am today.
The popular DJs will compile their own playlist and want listeners to help decide which cool dance grooves to play.
The Silent Disco takes place at the Electric Picnic from September 3 to 5, from 11pm-2am.
