Jenny's all-clear after tumour...now for the wedding

PHOTOGRAPHER Jenny McCarthy has revealed she has been given the all-clear after a brain tumour and says her wedding to weatherman Martin King is the perfect way to celebrate.

The award-winning Dublin snapper was left in shock last year when medics discovered the tumour.

After suffering from severe headaches, Jenny had an operation to remove the growth, which turned out to be benign.

And with just two weeks to go until she ties the knot with her partner of 13 years, TV3 star Martin, Jenny says the good news about getting the all-clear makes next month's celebrations even more special.

"Thankfully, I'm back in full health now, I just got the all-clear and it's all behind me now.

"The wedding will be a great end to a year that had such a horrible start," she told the Herald.

Jenny revealed that their upcoming nuptials won't be a celeb affair --although many of the guests will be top TV stars, she says the pair are making sure the wedding is as simple and that they won't be going overboard.

"The whole thing is going to reflect our personalities," she said.

"We haven't gone OTT on anything. In terms of arrangements for the tables at the reception we are just making a donation to Beaumont hospital because when I had my operation earlier on this year, they were just so fantastic."

Among the friends attending the wedding, at the beautiful Killashee House Hotel in Co Kildare, will be Martin's Morning Show co-host Sybil Mulcahy, Aidan Cooney, Sinead Desmond, Mark Cagney and other TV3 staff.

The couple's two sons, Matthew (10) and Alex (7), will also be there.

"There are going to be 146 people altogether. A huge amount of the guests will be from TV3," she added.
