Irish TV presenter Christine Bleakley has lashed out at pop stars Jedward, claiming the popular twins are bad for the country's image.
The BBC One Show frontwoman, who is currently dating Chelsea's Frank Lampard, is believed to have delivered a cutting remark to the fresh-faced twins back stage at Britain's National Television Awards.
In front of a team of backstage staff and stylists, Christine (30) said to the pair: "You paint a bad picture of Ireland."
It's understood that John and Edward Grimes were devastated at the comment, but later admitted that they didn't know who she was.
And it was revealed that the big-hearted 18-year-olds have donated some of their fashion-forward trainers to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The spiky-haired duo from Lucan jetted into Dublin this week fresh from their National TV Awards performance with Vanilla Ice and revealed how they had tried to drum up cash for the disaster victims.
"We signed a couple of pairs of our high-tops and some of our T-shirts and gave them to support the victims. It's terrible what happened," said John. Although he was one of their biggest critics, the boys were over the moon that Simon Cowell went over to congratulate them after their awards performance at London's O2 arena.
However, there is no word yet if they will be among the big-name acts to come on board his charity single for Haiti.
Music mogul Cowell was asked by Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown to help with the relief effort by releasing a song within the next week.
"We heard that Simon's releasing a song alright and that's going to be amazing. We would of course love to support that cause. If he asked us to help out, we would," John said.
