Jamie weds Sophie in secret bash

Model-turned-author Sophie Dahl and pint-sized jazz star Jamie Cullum have secretly married.

The couple celebrated their wedding at a luxurious country hotel at the weekend after keeping the event secret from all but their closest friends and family.

Cullum (30) and the statuesque Dahl (32) jet off on their honeymoon today.

The couple enjoyed a blessing at the Lime Wood Hotel, set in the New Forest National Park in the south of England, on Saturday, followed by a sit-down meal in a marquee.

Dahl, the granddaughter of the late children's author Roald Dahl, is thought to have worn a Versace dress and been walked down the aisle by her actor father Julian Holloway.

The wedding is thought to have had a "winter wonderland" theme, with the venue lit with hundreds of fairy lights.

Guests sat down to food prepared by a Michelin-starred chef in a Spiegeltent, a pavilion described as a "travelling dance hall", before Cullum performed in the hotel.

A hotel spokesman said: "They looked very happy. They had a celebration of marriage and a wedding reception."

The couple, who got engaged last year, are believed to have turned down a big-money magazine deal for their wedding.
