HOLLYWOOD hero Jack Reynor has been lined up to play the love interest of Queen Elizabeth at the end of World War Two.

The Irish actor's star is certainly on the rise after his storming appearance in Transformers – but this time he will get the chance to show his softer side.

Jack (23) will team up with British actors Rupert Everett and Emily Watson on the movie Girls Night Out.

The film is a reimagining of VE Day in 1945, when Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret were allowed out of Buckingham Palace for one night to join in the celebrations to mark the end of the war.

The story sees them go out into the streets of London unrecognised, encountering romance and danger.

Reynor has been lined up to play the love interest of Elizabeth.

The 23-year-old star, who recently proposed to model Madeline Mulqueen, is expected join Everett and Watson on set in the UK next month for the shoot.

This is the latest in a string of high-profile projects ever since his award-winning performance in Lenny Abrahamson's What Richard Did.

Last year he wrapped filming in the US to film director Michael Bay's Hollywood blockbuster Transformers: Age of Extinction with Mark Wahlberg.

He has since landed a part in a silver screen adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender, which completed production earlier this month.

A recognisable face overseas, Reynor is set to attend CinemaCon in Las Vegas next week to receive a Rising Star award.
