LAURA Whitmore is one of the top TV presenters in Ireland and the UK, regularly seen on MTV, ITV and RTE, as well as being the darling of the London fashion scene.
But Bray native Laura (28) hasn't forgotten her roots.
And yesterday, she popped into her old school – Loreto in Bray – to say hello.
Students were thrilled to see the star as she dropped by to film an episode for RTE series School Around The Corner.
Laura interviewed her former teachers and principal for the new programme. She also took time to pose for photographs and speak to students and staff.
Deputy Principal of Loreto Secondary School, Margaret Wainwright, said that they were thrilled to welcome Laura back.
"The students were delighted that she came to visit the school," Ms Wainwright told the Herald.
"She was dropping in to film a bit and to speak to her old teachers and her former principal Michael Denny.
"She contacted us to ask if she could film in the school and we were delighted.
"It was great," Ms Wainwright added. "We've had other famous people go to the school here, too; we've had actress Elaine Cassidy and a couple of TDs, including Mary O'Rourke."
During her time at Loreto, Laura was involved in drama, public speaking and debating, and always got good marks in her studies.
The MTV star paid credit to the school and its teaching staff, who she said had nurtured her talent when she attended Loreto.
