A DUBLIN boyband has made the cut for the X Factor's live auditions.
The five-piece act, named 5'th Base, qualified for the show's auditions after performing at Glasgow this week.
However the boyband, singing an acapella version of Change Your Life, by Little Mix, were warned by the judges they would need to improve their presentation if they stood any chance of winning the series.
"The guys had been waiting to be seen since 7am that morning.
"They finally got to sing for the judges at half nine that night.
"Sharon, Louis, Gary and Nicole were all very positive but have told them they needed to pull up their socks," said an insider.
Originally called Level 5, the group made up of Dean Gibbons (19), Jason Cafolla (18), Darren Regazzoli (18), Shane Thornton (18) and Meath's Chris Lenard (16) have been making a name for themselves on this side of the Irish Sea for the past 12 months. They performed at last year's Cheerio's Childline concert and at Niall Horan's 19th birthday bash in Mullingar.
They are now through the next part of the X Factor auditions which will take place on front of a live audience in London.
Sharon Osbourne made the most glamorous entrance at the Glasgow auditions on the arm of two topless, kilted men.
