Imelda May rocked the stage at Electric Picnic

- ROCKABILLY singer Imelda May rocked the stage at Electric Picnic over the weekend.

And the stunning Dublin singer revealed she was thrilled to be back performing in front of her home fans.

"So happy to be back, and playing the main stage, it's great," she said. "I love playing this festival. Everyone is so happy and friendly and the crowd is electric."

- TOP Irish group The Script have been locked in rehearsals for the past week in preparation for their hotly awaited new album launch.

The chart-topping group will unveil their second release, Science & Faith, at an exclusive party in the Guinness Store House on Thursday night.

A large number of guests are expected, including lead singer Danny's gorgeous model girlfriend Irma Mali.

- HOLLYWOOD actress Anna-Lynne McCord wowed onlookers as she kicked off her debut Irish visit in the swanky Wright Venue on Saturday night.

- IRISH comedian Dara O Briain seems to be fed up with being mistaken for his namesake, RTE's new rugby presenter, Daire O'Brien.

The Bray-born funnyman took to his Twitter page in recent days to ensure his fans are aware that he has not taken up an unlikely new job as a rugby expert alongside Brent Pope.

Dara has just announced new dates for his tour after a hugely successful run in Vicar Street earlier this year.

- DEBENHAMS has become the first retailer to launch a national window campaign featuring a disabled model in stores across Ireland.

The groundbreaking imagery, which also appears in its UK stores, features disabled model Shannon Murray (32), alongside other models and mannequins showcasing the store's autumn/winter womenswear collections.
