I'm doing fine after split with Enda, reveals star Kathryn

RTE presenter Kathryn Thomas has broken her silence on her recent break-up to reveal how she's "doing fine".

The well-known personality (33) stepped out last night for the first time since news of her split from her boyfriend of five years, Enda Waters, was made public. Looking chic in a grey wool knit dress teamed with black boots, she told the Diary: "I'm doing great. I'm just keeping busy with work and getting on with things."

There's clearly no let-up in her hectic schedule of late, given that she's continuing to juggle two TV shows, as well as filling in for RTE Radio 1's John Murray.

Last week she was filming the first part of Operation Transformation and this week will see her concentrating on The Voice of Ireland.

"On Friday I'm heading over to London to do some work on We Will Rock You for the radio show," she said. "I'm going over to interview Ben Elton and Brian May. Then I'm covering for John starting on the Monday so it's going to be all go for me."

Kathryn and her garda boyfriend decided to call time on their relationship last July -- but kept it under wraps until this month.

She joined the throngs of well-heeled guests at Lancome's Christmas party in the Shelbourne Hotel this week, after spending the day shooting a spread at the hotel with celebrity photographer Barry McCall.

She decided to pop upstairs for a glass of champagne before heading home after the shoot for January's Irish Tatler.

Other attendees at the bash included publisher Norah Casey, fresh from confirming that she was leaving RTE business show Dragon's Den.

Explaining her decision, she said: "I kind of thought I was superwoman -- it turns out I was a mere mortal after all. Something just had to give."

Norah was joined at the event by her Today co-star, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, with the pair clearly getting on like a house on fire.

Other attendees included RTE's Claire Byrne and Nuala Carey alongside socialites Emily O'Donnell, Avila Lipsett, Triona McCarthy and Xpose's Karen Koster.
