I'll bounce back after the baby, Amy tells Tubs

PREGNANT Amy Huberman plans to be a "working mum" and aims to return to acting and writing after the birth of her first child.

Five-and-a-half months pregnant Amy is looking forward to switching into "baby mode" for the first few months after the birth.

But the 33-year-old has no intention of staying out of the spotlight for good, and intends to pick up her career where she left off.

"I certainly want to get back on the road, acting and writing," she told Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show last night.

"I would probably be a working mum. We will find a balance.

"It's going to be really, really exciting."

Asked how she managed to conceal her pregnancy for the first few months, Amy said she "lived a very boring life".

"You lie a lot to your friends on nights out," she laughed.

This included saying she had to be up early in the morning and arranging for someone else to take her glass of wine.

She said hubbie Brian O'Driscoll is on the road to recovery after surgery on his ankle and is wearing "a Darth Vader" boot.

"He's a very good patient, not too demanding."
