I only go down on bended knee to do my squats, says Kathryn

KATHRYN Thomas says there was no chance she was getting down on bended knee to propose to her garda boyfriend.

The RTE presenter laughed off any idea of her taking advantage of the Leap Day yesterday by popping the question to Enda Waters.

"The only reason I would be getting down on bended knee is to do my squats for training and that's about it," she said.

Kathryn (32), who has been dating Enda for five years, says she's happy to keep her relationship as it is.

The popular presenter also admitted how it bugs her how much she gets asked if she and Enda have any plans to tie the knot, given that they're in a serious relationship.

Kathryn says she's not in any rush to tear down the aisle with her other half and is too busy working on her TV and radio projects.

"I've never really been the girl to dream about the white dress, the flowers and walking up the aisle. I would love to get married one day and have children and right now, at 32, it seems be the only question people are asking me," she said.

"When I was on No Frontiers people would always ask, 'where's your favourite destination?' and now the question is 'when are you going to have a trip up the aisle?'"

The blonde beauty has been enjoying a well-earned week off after finishing up filming on weight loss reality show Operation Transformation, which saw the five team leaders collectively lose over 11 stone.

But she won't be on holiday for long -- she's now gearing up for the first round of live shows in the Helix Theatre as the Voice of Ireland enters its next stage.

Some 24 contestants will battle it out over the next nine weeks.
