FASHIONISTA Angela Scanlon has earned her stripes as a member of the Irish Brat Pack in London, alongside TV golden girl Laura Whitmore and teen heartthrob Niall Horan.

But the London-based stylist says she doesn't rely on her fellow famous Irish ex-pats for fun across the water.

The 28-year-old splits her time between London and Dublin and hangs out with members of the Irish crew, such as MTV host Laura, presenter Eoghan McDermott and actress Michelle Doherty. "It's nice to have familiar faces over there, but I have a lot of friends who are English as well," Angela told the Herald.

"Maybe when you are younger you tend to gravitate towards Irish people and hang out with only people from your country."

"I definitely have a mix but, it's lovely to have a bit of support over there," she added.

She has been lighting up London since making the move and the feisty presenter was recently dubbed the next Alexa Chung by fashion bible Vogue.

The former movie show presenter has also made the move into TV and has finished filming upcoming RTE documentary Oi Ginger.

Known for her alabaster skin and flaming red hair, the Meath native will front the show, which looks at different prejudices and what it means to be a red head in Ireland.

While she also has several projects lined up in the UK, Angela admits that she doesn't see London as her home because her heart still lies in Ireland.

"I definitely still want to work in Ireland.

"I love Dublin so being able to work and do the two for the moment is great.

"We'll see how things go so you just never know, but I do love London," she added.

And it is not just work- related matters that see Angela racking up the air miles. She flies home as often as possible to see the man in her life, boyfriend Roy.

"I have a boyfriend in Ireland so the over and back thing is fun," she laughed. "He works hard so we're like ships in the night at the moment, but he's very supportive and it is what it is."

Angela is back in London was week after a busy weekend at home, which included her friend's hen party last Friday followed by a wedding on Saturday.
