TV hoteliers John and Francis Brennan are about to see their name in lights in the US, after bringing a taste of Kerry to New York City to toast St Patrick's Day.
The brothers are set to become a household name stateside, as their deluxe spa SAMAS will be featured in the historic Bergdorf Goodman in the Big Apple this week. The stars of RTE's At Your Service, who own the five-star Park Hotel Kenmare, have teamed up with global skincare range Sisley to promote the essence of Ireland.
The four-day event is showcasing the best of Irish hospitality and will see two of SAMAS's top therapists join forces with Sisley to offer a range of treatments in the build-up to this weekend's special festivities.
It comes after TV personality Francis joined a promotional trip to the US aimed at attracting more American visitors to Kerry.
Mr Brennan is currently promoting the Kingdom at the latest of Tourism Ireland's series of Jump Into Ireland sales blitzes in Chicago and Dallas. Over the next year the group, which includes representatives from across Ireland with Francis flying the flag for Kerry, will visit nine cities in the US and Canada and meet about 1,500 travel agents.
Holiday makers and visitors of the Brennans' hotel will also be treated to a series of master classes, hosted by Francis, as part of their Paddy's Day extravaganza. The expert hotel owners recently enjoyed another successful year on RTE with their hit series At Your Service, which finished up in February on Irish telly screens.
The duo travelled to eight hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs to bring new life to the businesses and come up with solutions to encourage more customers.
The latest instalment of the popular programme saw the businessmen cover a wide range of properties; from an equestrian centre that has been gutted by fire, to a guesthouse with ambitions not only to update itself but also to regenerate the whole town.
At Your Service broke previous records with more than 600,000 watching the episode featuring The Strand Inn in Dunmore East. And a fifth series has already been ordered by RTE, John recently told the Herald.
"We're billed as a makeover show but we're fundamentally a business show. People are interested in how others run businesses. It's a different world... within two minutes many viewers can identify the problems."
