Hollywood stars hit the champers at Dublin film party

A-LIST actor Clive Owen was seen celebrating in Dublin after finishing shooting on his latest movie.

The Diary can reveal how the 45-year-old star was seen drinking champers with cast and crew members as they toasted the end of filming on The Shadow Dancer.

Jaws dropped when the actor casually popped into Leeson Street venue NV nightclub, accompanied by pals that included co-star Gillian Anderson of The X Files fame.

The movie hunk was seen partying in the Onyx room, an outside VIP area separated from the main club, which comes complete with plasma screens and special outdoor heating.

"Clive was there for movie wrap party for The Shadow Dancer, it was a completely private party," said a source.

The sexy London star attended the party in a slick, black Armani suit, and was described by revellers as "extremely humble" and spoke to party-goers throughout the night. "He was so polite. He was mixing with all the punters, smiling all the time. He said he was really enjoying his time in Ireland and that everyone has been so welcoming towards him," he said. As well as being served champagne on arrival, the star was given top-class treatment by every member of staff.

"NV went all out when Clive arrived. Their head chef served the cast gourmet canapes and security guarded the Onyx room all night long, so no one could go up and take a picture," he added.

"The organisers knew some of the cast and crew were coming but they had no idea Clive was actually going to show up."

Based on the Tom Bradby novel, his new flick tells the story of a female IRA member in 1960s Ireland and sees Owens playing Mac, an MI5 officer who recruits her after her arrest.
