Holly scrubs down well...in Next Top Model make-under

HOLLY, what have they done to you?

This is top Irish model Holly Carpenter as you have never seen her before as she ditches the make-up and fake tan for the sake of her modelling dream.

The 22-year-old went pale-skinned and bare-faced for her first exclusive pictures as a contestant on the new series of Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model.

Holly is one of three Irish beauties who will battle it out for the top modelling crown and she is joined on the show by Dublin teenager Jessica Patterson (19) and 2012 Miss Donegal Sarah Kennedy (22).

In these snaps, the girls stripped it all back as they went casual in simple blue jeans and white tops.

But it is a far cry from Holly's typical look – the keen Dublin socialite is known for her tanned image, curly brunette locks and skyscraper heels. The snaps emerged after Holly was given a dressing down by the judges for her over-the-top image.

Holly was attacked for over-caking her face in make-up and looking like a glamour girl instead of a proper model.

She was then forced by host Elle Macpherson to scrub the make-up off before being lectured on how a little make-up is a lot.

A source said: "The modelling industry in Ireland can be so different to how it is in the UK – and Holly really found it out.

"Here, many of our models believe that looking good involves throwing on as much make-up as possible and getting into a bikini.

"But that certainly isn't what Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model is about.

"They want natural beauty, and Holly couldn't have been hiding her's away any more."
