Hennessy Gold Cup looks set to be one of the biggest social events of the year

- THIS year's Hennessy Gold Cup takes place at Leopardstown on Sunday, February 6 and already looks set to be one of the biggest social events of the year.

It will play host to well-known celebrities from the world of fashion and entertainment, including hat designer Philip Treacy and model Jasmine Guinness, both of whom will judge this year's Hennessy Best Dressed competition, in association with the Design Centre.

A host of Hennessy's customers will also enjoy the celebrations, with a private event hosted in the racecourse pavilion.

In response to the findings fitness expert Karl Henry, of Operation Transformation fame, will be providing advice on how to balance our lives and have more energy.

- FASHION savvy ladies will be out in force on Thursday for the exclusive preview of Oasis' Spring/Summer collection.

The invite-only event takes place at the chain's Grafton Street store, kicking off at 9am and running until 5.30pm.

Guests will have the chance to browse a selection of items from next season's collections, with representatives from the Oasis brand on hand to explain the thinking behind each design.

The invite-only event begins on Wednesday, February 2, at 6pm.
