Supermodel Heidi Klum is terrified a Janet Jackson-style wardrobe malfunction will leave her "naked" in front of a worldwide TV audience during next week's MTV European Music Awards.
The star, who is hosting the event in Frankfurt, said she was already "extra nervous" about the show, which will feature performances by acts including Alicia Keys, The Killers, Muse and Rita Ora.
She said: "I'm always nervous at live events, because you only have one shot.
"The worst thing that could happen is if my dress split and I was standing there butt naked. That would be my nightmare going live to 180 countries, that would be embarrassing."
Janet Jackson caused controversy at the 2004 Super Bowl when co-star Justin Timberlake tore her top open during a live performance.
Klum, who split from husband Seal earlier this year, said she did not want to steal the limelight from the acts at the event on Sunday November 11.
She said: "The show is not about me; the show is about music and all these great performers.
"I'm kind of the red thread to lead through the show from point A to point B to point C, but it's all about the music."
But she hinted she might take to the trapeze in the circus-themed event, saying: "The big stadium will be transformed into a circus tent, so it will be magical.
"I think actually it will be beautiful to feel like you're in a circus tent with a trapeze and I'm going to be rigged in and do some acrobatic acts."
Klum, who said at least one of her costume changes will see her dress up as 'a circus director', has been given several outfits from Donatella Versace which were "very short, very sexy" and "very MTV".
And she revealed her dream co-host would be teen idol Justin Bieber.
She said: "I love Justin Bieber, he's such a nice guy, I have to say.
"He performed at the finale of my Next Top Model and that's where I got to know him a little."
