Hot favourite Hayley Tamaddon was crowned queen of Dancing On Ice after viewers chose her as their champion.
The former Emmerdale actress wiped away tears after host Phillip Schofield announced she had beaten actor Gary Lucy to the title.
Tamaddon (33) appeared speechless as she held the trophy above her head.
The actress was partnered with professional skater Daniel Whiston who had been a close friend for many years. She said before the result: "It's been an absolute dream to skate with my best friend."
Tamaddon and Whiston performed three routines last night including their own version of Ravel's Bolero, the routine which won Olympic gold medals in 1984 for the celebrities' mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
The actress, best known as Emmerdale's Delilah Dingle, managed to say it had been "amazing" as she held back tears following the performance.
Whiston said he was also lost for words, adding: "We were in our own world and I enjoyed every minute."
Dean told them: "Going back 26 years ago that was how we felt. You were in the right place."
Tamaddon's trophy-winning performances also included a repeat of the Bollywood-style routine which scored her a row of perfect 6s earlier in the contest.
The judges again gave her 30 out of 30. Torvill told her: "It was a treat for us to see it for a second time and see it so perfect again."
Tamaddon also scored three 6s from judges Robin Cousins, Emma Bunton and Karen Barber for her flying routine which saw her suspended on wires above the rink.
Tamaddon and Lucy (28) went head to head for the trophy after Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson was knocked out in the first round by public vote.
