THE Diary can reveal that the head of programming is on the guest list for the opening night of her new show Girls Night Out, The Musical in Dublin this evening. The lively production has already toured the country, performing in venues including Mullingar, Drogheda, Derry, Castlebar, Killarney before finally coming to the capital.
And judging by those expected to traipse down the red carpet at the Gaiety Theatre to support the former Xpose presenter, she appears to have buried the hatchet with the gregarious TV boss. He famously claimed that she would "never work in TV3 again" after she wrote a book about her time in the station.
Entitled Working The Red Carpet, it chronicled her 10 years in the showbiz industry as well as detailing her surprise decision to quit her Xpose presenting job in 2009.
She has now turned her attentions to a new craft, treading the boards in the musical production, her first foray into theatre. The show co-stars Fair City actresses Hilda Fay and Sorcha Furlong, alongside Jacinta Whyte and Sharon Sexton and has been meeting with a favourable reception from Irish audiences.
