Groom's outfit a mystery for Jen Maguire

SHE has the man and the dress, but bride-to-be Jennifer Maguire has no idea what her other-half will look like on their big day.

The comedy presenter said that her fiance, Lau Zamparelli, has turned the tables on her and banned her from seeing his threads for their upcoming nuptials.

And it is driving her a bit crazy. However, the chatty Dubliner is not worried that Lau will show her up on the day as he is in good hands – with her designer pal Paul Kiely helping him in the fashion department.

"Lau won't show me the suit he is wearing, which is a bit weird," Jennifer told the Diary.

"It's usually the bride who gets up to that carry on. I don't trust him, but he's shopping with a friend of mine, Paul Kiely, who is a men's designer, so I do trust him."

While she is leaving her English beau to his own devices, the 33-year-old can breathe a sigh of relief after finally finding her perfect wedding dress.

The Baldoyle native is staying loyal by going with an Irish designer, Kathy de Stafford, who was also behind Caroline Morahan's wedding gown.

"Mine is very different to Caroline's," explained Jen. "I think it's less wedding like.

"She has a huge selection and I really wanted to wear Kathy because she's an Irish designer.

"It's something that I never thought I would wear. I always thought I would wear something lace, but it's very different, so I love it," she added.

Jen will get hitched to her long-term partner at Castle Leslie in Monaghan this summer, the same hotel which held Paul McCartney's nuptials.

They will be celebrating with just 60 close friends and family over a long weekend.

After a short ceremony and intimate reception, the lovebirds will jet off on a romantic honeymoon in the Seychelles.

Jen, who is looking forward to kicking off her new 2fm breakfast show alongside Bernard O'Shea and Keith Walsh, said she can't wait for the wedding to be over and the honey- moon to begin.

"I can't wait to go on my holidays afterwards. I think I will want to do nothing at that time because it will be six months into the radio so I'll probably just lie on a beach for a few weeks."

And Jen said that herself and Lau definitely hope to start a family in the future.

"If we're blessed with that, it would be great," she told the Diary.

"We're in no rush. And that's the great thing about radio, you can get fat and nobody will notice," she said, laughing.
