GOOD news ladies -- rugby hunk Tommy Bowe has confirmed that he is very much still on the market.
The Ireland and Lions star told the Diary that he has had no time for a girlfriend given that he has been so busy with rugby.
"At the moment I'm single," he explained. "But I'd like to meet a nice girl. Living over in Wales it's not quite as big a deal as it is here with the whole WAG scene."
Tommy (26) admits that he is baffled by all the attention surrounding his relationship status and joked that he would be "having words" with fellow player, Brian O'Driscoll at the annual IRUPA awards at the Burlington Hotel last night, following the Irish rugby captain's comments on Twitter.
The Clontarf sportsman last month posted a link claiming that he felt like former Blind Date host Cilla Black due to all the questions he had been fielding about whether Tommy has a girlfriend.
Brian (31) meanwhile was enjoying a boys' night out last night, as his fiancee Amy Huberman was otherwise occupied at a book awards ceremony.
Among the other well-known rugby players who stepped out in the southside hotel last night, minus their WAG other halves, were Rob Kearney, Jamie Heaslip, Gordon D'Arcy, Leo Cullen and Jonny Sexton.
