Glitz and glam for this year's Peter Mark/VIP Style Awards

This year's Peter Mark/VIP Style Awards were launched this afternoon amid a whirl of glitz and glam.

The annual accolades were kickstarted at a bash in the Aviator Lounge of Bentley's on St Stephen's Green at an invite-only event attended by many of the stylish nominees.

Among those who have been given the inaugural nod in the Most Stylish Woman Award is TV3's bubbly presenter Anna Daly, alongside Ryan Tubridy's gorgeous girlfriend Aoibheann Ni Shuilleabhain.

Also there is socialite mum-of-five Morah Ryan, who has been cited as undergoing "something of a fashion transformation in the past 12 months".

All the winners will be announced at a glitzy bash on March 12.

  • Here's some good news if you reckon your little darling has what it takes to make it in the modelling world.

Dublin company Bscene has put a call out for models of all ages, from four to 18, who are interested in signing onto the books of the entertainment agency for a range of modelling and promotional opportunities.

And to encourage all fresh talent to give it a shot, the company is having a casting session this Sunday with celeb snapper Lili Forberg.

Membership is for a one-year period with copies of headshots. Discounts are available for families with two or more children.

  • There was no shortage of pretties turning on the glam at the Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar last night.

Many of our best-known socialites popped into the photography competition hosted by Miller and entitled Give It A Twist.

Performing for attendees was Meteor Award nominee Julie Feeney, who has been given the nod in the Best Irish Female category.

Other attendees included Georgia Salpa, Louise Kennedy and Jenny Lee Masterson, who were there to see the unveiling of the eight finalists in the national competition, who were naturally all in a celebratory mood afterwards with the party going on until the wee hours.

  • The after party for the Meteor Music Awards is taking place in the Wright Venue next week.

Given that some of the biggest stars in Ireland and abroad will be performing on stage at the RDS on February 19, organisers are promising they'll have plenty of the nominees and the winners in attendance on the night.

Among those rocking out in the southside venue will be Westlife, Florence And The Machine and The Script. €15 tickets to the Swords club night are on offer now.

  • R&B star Sean Jay is off the bill for this evening's concert in the O2 Dublin.

The Diary can reveal how the crooner was announced as playing support to US sensation Ne-Yo when he brought his Year Of The Gentleman tour back to Ireland -- but he is no longer part of his European dates.

Instead, the singer will be joined by Ryan Leslie as the pair aim to provide Irish fans with a night to remember.

At least it's still all systems go for the stars' aftershow party in the Twentyone Club on D'Olier Street.

According to organiser Garret Brady, the lads have requested that security is at a premium and there's plenty of Tequila flowing. A handful of passes are still available if you fancy joining in.
