Georgia plans move away for fashion job

IT looks like we could be bidding adieu to top model Georgia Salpa next year as the beauty queen prepares to launch a career in fashion across the water.

The Diary can reveal how the half Greek/half Irish model has designs on leaving her career on the catwalk behind in order to become a fashion buyer.

Georgia (25) has been accepted by a top London design school to study Fashion PR and has already accepted her place. She admits, however, that she is not sure yet when she will be in a position to take it up.

"The course starts around May each year so I might start next summer depending on how it's going here for me workwise," she explained. "I'll be studying fashion buying and merchandising with the aim to get into buying clothing for boutiques.

"I've already accepted the place and I definitely plan to do it but I just want to concentrate on modelling for now while it's all going well for me."

In the meantime Georgia is planning a romantic getaway with her DJ boyfriend Barry O'Brien in September.

The loved-up couple, who have been together for 18 months, will jet to a sun destination yet to be confirmed.

Yesterday saw the Assets beauty step out alongside fellow model Yomiko to launch the Wright Venue's first anniversary celebrations.
