Funnyman Brand to perform at Olympia

COMEDIAN and actor Russell Brand will perform in Dublin this November.

Russell (38), inset, will take to the stage at the Olympia for what will surely be one of the most anticipated gigs of the year.

The self-confessed former sex addict will play Dublin on November 11 as part of his stand-up tour Messiah Complex.

His show is all about great people; Che Guevara, Jesus, Gandhi and the like.

The stage show sees Russell discuss what makes these people great, ponder if Jesus would endorse drinks and clothing lines if he was still around today and consider what Che's sex life was like.

Needless to say, there will be lots of lewd jokes – love him or loathe him Russell is one of the most compelling comedians out there.

He has starred in several Hollywood films; Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Arthur. Regardless of their critical or financial success – there's no denying he's bigger than ever.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am at www.ticketmaster.ie and at outlets nationwide.
