Flash Harry blows €1m on pad but Niall prefers the simple life

HE may have blown all his chips when he partied and gambled at an Australian casino this year, but Niall Horan (19) is counting his pennies now.

While the other 1D boys are busy buying upmarket apartments and flash cars, Mullingar native Niall has more modest taste.

A source close to the band said that Niall doesn't like to parade his wealth.

"Niall isn't one to go around flashing his cash about -- it's just not his style."

Instead, the teenager prefers simple and inexpensive pleasures, like hanging out with friends and playing his beloved guitar.

"He is most content playing his guitar and video games while having a laugh with the boys," the source said. "Niall doesn't own a house or a car -- he gets about on a pushbike."

It's believed fellow bandmate Harry Styles (18) has been encouraging Niall to invest in his future and in the property market.

"Harry is trying to buy some properties and invest his millions," the source said.

Earlier this year, Harry left flatmate and bandmate Louis Tomlinson (19) all alone when he quit their bachelor pad and bought his own London apartment -- reportedly costing close to €1m.

But moving on to the property ladder may be a step too far for Niall, who admitted this week that his mum Maura has just moved over to London to take care of him.

Single

"My mum just moved over to London recently -- to look after me, basically."

Niall also denied rumours that he's loved up.

"I'm definitely single," he said. "I'm not actually looking but if the right person came along -- definitely."

The denial comes after speculation linking him to 20-year-old drama student Amy Green.

Niall brought Amy to the X Factor last week.
