IT was a trip down memory lane for Coronas frontman Danny O'Reilly last night as he attended FM104's The Gig in conjunction with ISPCC.

"I'm so excited to be here," he said. "The Olympia is one of our favourite gigs. Our first ever gig was here for FM104 about five years ago."

The iconic theatre was bustling last night as TV and pop stars crowded into the packed venue. Love/Hate actor Laurence Kinlan was bopping away to the music: "I flew back from Portugal and I'm delighted to be here."

Ciara Dignam bowled over the crowds with her knockout vocals.

Boxing champ Bernard Dunne, with wife Pamela, said he couldn't wait for things to kick off: "You can feel the buzz already."
