Faith helped me, says Travolta

John Travolta has said Scientology helped him deal with the tragic death of his son, Jett.

The actor walked the red carpet with wife Kelly Preston on Thursday in New York to promote his new film, From Paris With Love.

He spoke about how the family's church has worked with them on healing, though he did not mention Scientology by name.

He says the church has helped stabilise the family and that has allowed Travolta to begin pursuing his acting career again.

Jett Travolta died on January 2 2009, of a seizure at the family's holiday home in the Bahamas.

He was 16.
