Erin O'Connor finds a model lover

Erin O'Connor has found love with an aspiring author, Dan Stewart.

Since she split up with the television presenter Jamie Theakston, Erin O'Connor has tried to ensure that her boyfriends have lower profiles. The Marks & Spencer model is, however, now being courted by a City financier keen to become a best-selling author.

Erin, who turns 32 on Tuesday, met Dan Stewart at the Glastonbury music festival last summer and the couple are becoming increasingly serious.

"I can't imagine my life without ever being married," she said at a private view of photographs that she had taken with the charity Traid, at the Richard Young Gallery in Kensington.

The 6ft 1in supermodel, who presented a Radio 4 programme on the fashion industry last year, said she might soon be moving in with Stewart. "Watch this space," she told me. "That's all I'm going to say."

Erin, who is a vice-chairman of the British Fashion Council, has built up an estimated fortune of more than €13.6 million through her modelling work.

In 2007, the foundry worker's daughter parted company with John Kent, a dashing Sky News producer, with whom she had lived at her Georgian town house in London for two years.

She had also met him at Glastonbury, a few months after the end of her two-year relationship with Theakston.
