Emily set to hit the catwalk

TOP model Sarah McGovern will soon be taking a break from the catwalk as she prepares for the arrival of her first child with hubby Kenny Vaughan -- but her agent Andrea Roche won't be left short after recruiting another leggy beauty to her

The Diary can reveal how the former Miss Ireland has just persuaded young entrepreneur Emily MacKeogh to try her hand at modelling for the first time, after signing the Dublin native up last week.

Emily, who runs up and coming jewellery business Crystal and Co alongside Assets model Leah O'Reilly, explained how she has been contemplating following in her friend's footsteps for some time, but needed persuasion.

"It's a new thing for me, I've never done any modelling professionally before but I have been asked a couple of times," Emily said. "I was never too keen in the past as I was busy setting up the business, but now that it's up and running I figured...why not? It's fun and every little helps in the current climate.

"I'm looking forward to doing a few bridal shows in the next few weeks, although I need to tone up first.

"Luckily my brother is a personal trainer so he'll be able to get me in shape," she added.

Meanwhile, it looks like we'll soon be seeing Fade Street star Louise Johnston joining her pal Vogue on the Irish modelling circuit, after the reality star was approached by Assets to join their stable of beauties.

The blonde TV star is said to be working on her portfolio this week and is expected to be added to their website in the coming days.
