Dubs star in Thailand theft shock

DUBLIN GAA star Eamon Fennell is not having a great start to the holidays.

The footballer was shocked over the weekend when money from his wallet was stolen while he is enjoying a holiday in Thailand.

Despite enjoying a three-week long lavish holiday with his entire team and all the Dublin WAGs in the US, Eamon flew half way across the world for a completely different experience.

The Dublin squad enjoyed the VIP experience in the US, and were treated to a deep-water swim with dolphins in the Cayman Islands, relaxing on the beach in Miami and Orlando where they spent three days in Disneyland.

But after flying back to Dublin with the boys in blue Eamon (26) and teammate Bernard Brogan (left) jetted off to Thailand to extend their whirlwind holiday.

Writing on his social networking site, the aspiring TV presenter revealed cash from his wallet was stolen only hours after arriving in Phi Phi.

"First night in Thailand and all my money got robbed. My room door was kicked in and all the money was gone. Still in good spirits though," he wrote.

Eamon revealed that he still has his laser and credit cards so still has access to cash. The All-Ireland winners missed teammate Paul Griffin's wedding last weekend to enjoy another week-long holiday in the sun.

The football aces will jet back to Dublin on January 31, just in time to celebrate New Year's Eve with family and friends.
