doctor bod makes plans to tackle busy festive period

They train hard but those rugby boys know how to let their hair down.

And rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll is looking forward to the squad's very own office Christmas party.

"We do have a Christmas party, I doubt it's like a typical office Christmas party though given it's all guys," he told The Diary. "But it's a good night."

Shame. We were pretty excited at the thought of the Kearney brothers dancing to Come on Eileen and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Still, we can dream.

It's shaping up to be a busy festive period for BOD.

"We're playing December 20 and 28 and in camp till the 24th so I better get the Christmas shop done nice and early," he said. "I always say that though and never do it."

This year, Brian and Amy (above) and baby Sadie will spend Christmas visiting their extended clan.

"We'll split it between the two grandparents' houses but we'll be eating at my folks this year," Brian said.

BOD was talking at National University of Ireland's Honorary Conferring ceremony where he received a BA. He said it's nice to refer to himself as 'Doctor BOD'.
