One of Rory McIlroy's best pals has split from his model fiancée Katie Larmour, the Diary can reveal.
The former beauty queen (29), who was once linked with Jonathan Rhys Meyers, has called off her engagement to amateur golfer Harry Diamond.
Model Katie, who initially introduced her pal Nadia Forde to the champion golfer, confirmed that the relationship was over when asked by the Diary.
"Yes, we have called off the engagement and we're no longer together," she said.
"We're still on good terms though, we were together a long time so things are amicable between us."
The couple had been due to wed in Italy next summer after the footballer went down on bended knee and proposed to Katie during a trip to Paris in October 2013.
Just two months later, his good pal Rory followed suit by popping the question to tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki, before calling it off a mere five months later.
But now both lads are firmly single, with Harry a constant companion to Rory on his many nights out as he celebrates his amazing string of Major wins.
Diamond has been photographed on numerous occasions with the Down native as they hit the tiles over the past few months, usually accompanied by a bevy of glamorous ladies.
He and Katie, who were one of Belfast's best-known celebrity couples, had been together for five years together and used to share a house in Holywood, Co Down.
Katie, who's signed with the Andrea Roche agency in Dublin, has now moved out of their home as she adjusts to life as a single lady.
She has told pals that she's intent on concentrating on her modelling career over the coming months as she takes her mind off the split.
Katie has no shortage of suitors, and has previously dated a Saudi Prince.
She isn't expected to be on the market for long and is clearly taking the break-up in her leggy stride.
Ironically, she was recently named as the face of the Marine Court hotel's nuptial packages, which saw her looking suitably bridal in a series of gorgeous pictures.
She also has Belfast Fashion Week to look forward to, given that it starts today and runs until October 19.
