Demi ready to bare all in new book

Hollywood actress Demi Moore is all set to go public in a memoir with details of her three marriages and showbusiness career spanning three decades.

HarperCollins said yesterday it had bought world rights to a memoir by the actress that will cover her life and career. The book, as yet unnamed, is scheduled for release in 2012.

Unnamed publishing industry executives with knowledge of the deal were quoted as saying HarperCollins had agreed to pay more than $2m (€1.67m) for the book. HarperCollins spokeswoman Tina Andreadis declined to comment on the reported price tag.

Moore (47) has starred in hit films including Ghost, Indecent Proposal, and A Few Good Men, as well as widely-panned efforts such as Striptease and GI Jane.

The actress has in the past acknowledged a troubled upbringing and difficult relationship with her alcoholic mother, Virginia King, who died from a brain tumour in 1998.

Moore was once one the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood and in 1991 controversially appeared naked and pregnant on the cover of Vanity Fair.

She was married for five years to singer-songwriter Freddy Moore, from whom she took her surname, before marrying actor Bruce Willis in 1987, a marriage that lasted 13 years and resulted in three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

She married actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005.
