Dazzling top sells out thanks to 'Amy Effect'

IT'S called "The Amy Effect" – the magenta silk top worn by Amy Huberman at The Stag premiere in London has completely sold out, The Herald can exclusively reveal.

Not even the €159 price tag for the Lennon Courtney item could deter fashion fans. But forget trying to emulate the style of Amy (34), who has a shoe collection in Arnotts, because the top was a limited-edition piece.


Designer Sonya Lennon said she was thrilled Amy had chosen to wear one of her items to a high-profile event.

"It's the Amy effect," Sonya added. "What she wears sells out and she's unaware of the power of her own persona."

It's been just a week since Sonya and fellow RTE stylist Brendan Courtney opened up their new studio on Stephen's Street, called the Central Dairy. They started off with a capsule collection in Arnotts, but have been keen to branch out.
