Cheryl's dress may not have been to everyone's liking - particularly Simon's this weekend but Irish stylish Darren Kennedy almost had to step in after she spilled water all over her green Lanvin dress.
The RTE2 presenter was over at the X Factor to join a celebrity panel on the Xtra Factor and was nearly forced to save the day.
"I nearly had to jump in when Cheryl spilled a glass of water over her Lanvin dress during the break," he revealed.
But Cheryl got on with the show, despite judge Simon Cowell continuously referring to her as 'Kermit' because of her emerald coloured dress. She later tweeted a Kermit picture with judges (above).
"It was nearly a disaster but like a true pro, Cheryl just took her seat in time and got on with the show, with a wet lap and all," Darren revealed.
Darren's new RTE2 show, Trending starts this Thursday at 8.30pm. The fashion focused show sees Darren go through the latest fashion trends as well as talking to Irish shoppers - even rummaging through shoppers' bags to review their latest purchases.
"It's really exciting - there has been a complete dearth of fashion across RTÉ.
"I developed it with the producer Denise Dunne, so it's very much our baby.
"It's not shoe-horning something in because there is a gap there. We are taking our lead from fashion and how it has democratised," he added.
"It's no longer just about what's happening on the catwalks in Paris or London, they are now reflecting what's happening on the streets and it's not about us preaching."
"Viewers can expect a fresh, slightly irreverent and fun approach to their new weekly style fix."
