Darren backs anti-bullying campaign

IRISH fashion guru Darren Kennedy has revealed that he has signed up as ambassador for Irish charity Belong To, which supports teens who are struggling with their sexuality and may be being bullied.

Darren, who is in a long term relationship, said it's important for Irish people to recognise the anti-gay bullying that is taking place in schools.

"Belong To aims to help people be themselves and give the youth space to help with bullying issues.

He said: "There has been a bizarre rate of suicides especially in young males but being bullied for being gay was never given as a reason."

The top stylist, added that the recent wedding of TV3 star Alan Hughes and partner Karl Broderick was a great sign of a change in Irish society.
