D12 throw a party at the Wright Venue

EMINEM'S crew D12 hit the town in style when they decided to throw a party at the Wright Venue in Swords.

The group joined Eminem's DJ the Alchemist as they celebrated their successful performance at Oxegen.

The group played their own set on the Vodafone Stage alongside The Prodigy and Professor Green before joining their homeboy Eminem on the main stage last Sunday night.

The Detroit hip hop legends have spent the week taking in the sights of Dublin and will continue the next leg of their European Tour tomorrow.

  • LAST night saw the official launch of the annual Belgian Beer Fest at the Porterhouse.

Famous faces raised their glasses to toast the start of the ten-day beer celebrations at The Porterhouse Bray, Nassau St, Temple Bar and Porterhouse North which will run until July 26.

Guests last night enjoyed samples as well as a selection of special Porterhouse beers which will be on offer.

  • EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the official opening of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Grand Canal Theatre next week. Doors for the star-studded event will open from 6.30pm on Thursday night, July 22.

Guests can look forward to hearing all the hit classics associated with the musical including Truly Scrumptious, Toot Sweets, Hushabye Mountain and the Oscar-nominated title song.

  • IRISH musicians Bell X1 are set to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of their debut album, Neither Am I, with a special acoustic tour of Ireland this November. Having played a key slot on the main stage at Oxegen 2010, the band are looking forward to performing songs from the old catalogue, as well as debuting some new ones.

News of a similar tour in North America was also released via their website www.bellx1.com.

The tour will kick off at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge on November 10 and will take in dates in Dublin, Kilkenny, Cork and many more.

  • DUBLIN'S party posse will be decamping en mass to Puerto Banus in Marbella this August Bank Holiday weekend for a special Afterdark.ie party.

Revellers can look forward to top DJ's Ivano Cafolla, Paul Maher, Darragh Corrigan and many more taking to the decks.

This will include T.I.B.U on Friday night, The Ocean Club on Saturday and Sunday throughout the day, as well as T.I.B.U on Saturday night and the Pangea Sky Lounge on Sunday night.

  • WITH just two weeks to go there are a limited number of tickets still available for Westlife's The Homecoming concert at Lisadell House in Sligo this month. Five 40-ton trucks are expected to roll into Sligo, with a 30-man crew lined up to erect the stage for the gig on July 30.
