Cute nephew Thor almost steals the show as Sonya and Colin finally say 'I do'

IT WAS a family affair as actress Sonya Macari married musician Colin Devlin in Dublin yesterday.

And while most eyes were on the gorgeous bride, who wore a bespoke gown by Winnie Couture of Beverly Hills, her little nephew stole a few glances, too.

The bride's sister Virginia brought eight-month-old Thor in a little cream coat to keep him warm during the chilly October weather.

Some 100 guests attended the ceremony at the Three Patrons Church in Rathgar followed by a reception at the K Club.

Sonya wore a full-length veil with her hair in an elegant up-style, and drop pearl earrings. Her bouquet of white roses was perfect for the dress, which had jewel encrusted shoulder straps.

The groom, whose brother Peter is married to broadcaster Lorraine Keane, looked dashing in a navy pinstriped suit with a blue tie.

Lorraine smiled outside the church, wearing a fetching teal-coloured dress, worn with a black jacket.

Also among the guests were avant-garde artist Guggi and his wife Sybille.

Pamela Flood, a well known face on Irish television, also attended the wedding with her partner Ronan Ryan, as did Norma Smurfit.

Sonya has been with Colin for the past 10 years and proud dad Romano and mum Clara Macari looked joyful on the happy occasion.

Clara was wearing a three-piece outfit, with a long gold-coloured full-length skirt, and attractive accompanying bag.

Sister Virginia, who starred in TV3 show Dublin Housewives, wore a fetching purple outfit, complemented with a black hat with a veil.

The newlyweds got engaged two years ago. Speaking recently, Sonya said: "As Colin and I are together for such a long time, we both feel very much married anyway, but I do look forward to it.

"I'm so thrilled that I decided to do it in Ireland in the end, because there's something very magical about the country," the half-Italian beauty said.
