Craig unwinds by sweating over his sausage machine...

WE ALWAYS pictured Craig Doyle as a real rugby and Heineken man.

But apparently the RTE chat-show host has a more original way of unwinding in his spare time -- making sausages.

It seems that the sports commentator has a passion for cooking.

"I like to cook and to know how things are made," he explained.

"I had a thing about soups for a year and then I got into slow cooking and now it's sausages. A lot of the ones I try to make on these sausage-making machines are failures.

"My chicken and chardonnay sausages were the biggest disaster. Not even the dog would eat them. I also make lamb, mint and rosemary sausages but they are pretty standard. I'm off to do a course on cooking fish next."
