RTE'S newest recruit Craig Doyle stepped out this morning to unveil details of a major announcement for Chorus NTL.
The TV presenter turned up at the Royal College of Physicians on Kildare Street for the launch ceremony at 12.30pm.
Afterwards the Dublin-born ITV star enjoyed a buffet lunch with other representatives from the digital television provider.
The MTV show is being revamped and the traditional Sweet 16 theme has been broadened to include birthdays up to age 24. Unlike previous series, this one will be cast internationally so the chosen Irish party will feature alongside Super Sweets from across the globe including Ibiza, Australia and Dubai.
It will also be broadcast all over the world in 30 MTV territories.
A host of big names is expected to step out on the evening of Wednesday, May 12 for the 7.30pm performance.
The musical will remain at the Docklands theatre until May 19.
FM104 DJ Frank Jez and Gerry D and Ray Taff, of Dualtec, will also be on hand to offer support.

The unforgettable story of courage, friendship and hope is based on the novella Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption, by Stephen King.
The all star line-up includes Kevin Anderson as Andy Dufresne, John Jelks who will join as Red, Joe Hanley as Bogs, Patrick Joseph Byrnes as Mayor and Mitchell Mullen as Stammas. The play will run until May 29, before moving onto the Millennium Forum in Derry from June 1 to 6.
