Cox has no desire to date just yet

Courteney Cox has revealed she hasn't returned to the dating game yet.

The Cougar Town actress, who is separated from David Arquette, her husband of 11 years, is a bit tentative about heading back into the fray.

"I have no desire right now - I'm not saying never; it just seems weird," she said in US Harper's Bazaar.

"I don't even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don't like to go out. I'm not great at small talk... I don't like to go to parties. There's a sign on my forehead: exiting social life, entering into isolation."

Courteney - who reunites with Scream castmate Neve Campbell and director Wes Craven for Scream 4 - admitted she still has feelings for David, who she met on the set of the original film in 1996.

"I don't know what the future holds and I guess because I have strong feelings for him," she said.

She also defended his antics, adding: "You can't really get mad at David because he's not a malicious person. I'm his biggest protector. I can't help it."

And the 46-year-old remains positive about their marriage, saying: "I think it's important, no matter what the outcome is, when you take these risks [in a marriage] and are willing to get real and get messy. I think you can only become stronger people, whether it's together or apart. In the end, everything will be better."
